Launch: Smile Makers Personal Massagers For Women

There you have it.
I bet many were expecting from me a post on Smile Makers, or at least to see more coming from the blogs.
Prior to posting this (I know I'm alittle late.. later than the news like New Paper.. or Stomp..lolx), I already heard and seen many mentions about Smile Makers. My man told me he saw it in the papers and then he told me his colleagues (guys) went in Watsons and saw them and whatsapp-ed everyone else in their group chat. News spread fast among his colleagues and then I saw friends sharing posts from stomp and commenting them on FB.. etc etc.
So here I am, providing more information (probably not so much more than what the papers had already said I guess? lolx..) and perhaps more knowledge on the survery Smile Makers did as well as the Smile Makers itself. ^_^ Nicer word for it would be massager yes?

Anyhoo, I'll start off by showing these 2 little massagers which one of them (The Frenchman) was received during Watsons Girls Day Out event and the other (Tennis Coach) at the Smile Makers launch. More will be introduced later in this blog post so do *scroll scroll scroll*! ^,^

Below shows the massagers I first saw at Watsons Girls Day Out event. (Will be posting about the GDO event later as I have TONS of pics to edit). The first impression they left me with was 'Such nice pastel colours! So small and light and cute! So smooooothhhh~' and alot of 'Hahahahahha~*elbowing my girlfriends around*'.

Introducing one by one, the Smile Makers Personal Massagers aka the 'Men' for women...
The Fireman
'He knows his way around a fiery situation and he's mighty skilled at cooling things down.'
Uniquely-shaped clitorial vibratior featuring an intense nose, exhilarating tip, and 'soft flames' for extra sensation.
What do this shape look like to you? It's basically shaped as a flame, because fireman! hahahx~

The Frenchman
'A cunning linguist, he may speak in a foreign tongue but he sure knows about what he's talking about.'
The electric feather of vibrators - super flexible and soft.
At first I couldn't link Frenchman with this shape only until later when they mentioned about 'tongue' and 'french kiss'. Lolx~ There you go!

The Tennis Coach
'He's sculpted and fit, with a forehand stroke designed to take very specific aim.'
Gentle G-spot vibratior for vibrator-curious women.
Ok... this is pretty straight forward. ^,^ This is one of the 2 massagers that can be inserted.

The Millionaire
'A classic gentleman and an all-rounder, he's here to pleasure you like the princess you are.'
A classic bullet vibrator with perfectly crafted form.
This shape is none other than the cigar that millionaire smokes. This is the other massager that can be inserted as well.

About Smile Makers
Smile Makers is inspired by the belief that beauty starts with a smile! Their vision is to normalize the sexual wellness category and reframe it as a natural and healthy part of life and beauty care.
Looking and feeling beautiful is not just about makeup and skincare products. Beauty is just as much about physical wellbeing and self-appreciation, and both of these are directly linked to sexual wellbeing. That makes healthy sex and sexuality an indistinguishable part of beauty care.
Smile Makers' mission is to make great products that promote healthy sex as a natural part of beauty care - helping women feel confident, sexy and happy, with or without partner.
Smile makers are produced alongside some of the world's leading electonics brands in a static-free environment. All products are completely phthalate-free and water-proof, made with super-smooth, 100% body-safe, FDA-approved silicone.
Smile Makers was introduced to the market back in 2012 and has earned glowing reviews from media, consumers, retailers and the medical community worldwide - including Belgium, France, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom - as a ground-breaking innovation within its category.
In 2013, Smile Makers won Silver at Cannes Lion, France, out of over 34,000 entried globally, Smile Makers was also the only brand to win double Gold at the One Show Design Awards, New York, in the Package Design and Product Design categories. The Firemen was also one in four nominees in the Consumer Product Design category at D&AD, United Kingdom.

At the event, I'd met speaker Peder Wikström who is the co-founder of Ramblin' Brands.

And Mattias Hulting, also co-founder of Ramblin' Brands. Both of them did some self-introduction, presented Smile Makers products along with the 'Good Vibe' 2015 Survey.

The 2015 'Good Vibe' Survey
Commissioned by Smile Makers and conducted by global research company in March 2015, the 'Good Vibe' survey polled 800 women in Singapore, aged 18 - 50, on their perception on sexual well-being and their views on self-pleasure.

In Singapore, only 3 in 10 women are satisfied with their sex lives. Reasons being:
1. Lost of interest
2. Inability to orgasm
3. Low Libido
Among the many top concerns like 'feeling financially secure', 'being able to pamer/indulge myself' etc.. the 'feeling sexually satisfiied' was ranked 8th. Lowest among the rest.

However, 70% of women polled reported tat sex makes them feel loved, followed by feeling happy, healthy and beautiful.
93% felt that they 'should take charge of their own sexual satisfaction' with 59% feeling that they are in control of it and 67% of them have experienced masturbation.

1 in 2 thought that talking about masturbation is taboo. (I personally think I fall right in between both, not that I feel it is a taboo... more like the person I talk to may think that it's a taboo thus I don't talk much about masturbation. ^_^ Plus I'm pretty shy to talk about it too, however I can be really open at the same time if someone is willing to listen and share their experiences)

Nearly half of the women felt that they needed to masturbate at least once a week, but only 25% of them do.

Younger Singaporean women (18-35 years) are more open to sexual experiences before marriage and are more likely to own a vibrator compared to those above 35 years old. However, half of Singaporean women feel that the subject of sel-pleasure is taboo, even with their closest female friends, in spite of recognising the health and emotional benefits associated with self-pleasure.
1 in 5 women has used vibrators or sex toys and 60% of women are open to buying a vibrator in health and beauty shops and online.

↓↓↓ Talking about me? ↓↓↓ Fun and Spontaneous? hhehex.. Because I do own 1! =p Actually, 2 now!

So, you might wonder, where the idea of the 4 men comes from.... Well, apparently they come from another survey. Just see below, these are women's sexual fantasies. I can relate Fireman, Millionaire, Delivery Boy, Lead Singer, New Intern.. but... who is Mr. Georgeson???! Lolx.. And well, we don't have poolcleaner here in every house so lucky thing they took that out. ^_^
And if asked about mine, I would say male gymnast! Muahahax~

A short Q&A session was then conducted with a few panel members and they are:
- Dr P Ganesan Adaikan PhD, DSc, a Reseach Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, NUS and a diplomate on the American Board of Sexology (left)
- Ms Tammy Fontana MS NCC CTRT, USA Certified Sex Therapist, also lead therapist of All in the Family Counselling (middle)
- Mattias Hulting, co-founder of Ramblin' Brands (right)
During the session, Dr P Ganesan Adaikan said many people do not realise that sexual well-being is important for health too and when we are time strapped it naturally ranks low on the priority list. Studies have shown that being sexually stimulated, whether through sex or self-pleasure, creates endorphins and oxytocin which in turn trigger positive feelings and wellbeing.
A research conducted at the University of Sydney has shown that self-pleasuring can lower the risk of type-2 diabetes, reduce insomnia through hormonal and tension release, and increase pelvic floor strength through the contractions that happen during orgasm.
Tammy Fontana mentioned that not many people realise that the brain is the body's most important sex organ. Sex is not just about intercourse, it also involves the foreplay, arousal, verbal and non-verbal pleasure, and many woman associate sex as an expression of love. In her practice, it is not uncommon to see couples' sex life suffer as a result of other problems in their relationship. Women can recognise that they too, can be in control of their sexual satisfaction, which helps boost emotional health and self-esteem, forming the foundation of healthy relationships.
Mattias Hulting found out through the survey that more than 50% of women are open to the idea of trying a personal massager, but they want to purchase these products in stores that they trust and are comfortable in. Through this island-wide partnership with Watsons stores, Smile Makers are now available for the everyday woman, who is looking for smart ways to take care of herself and feel good about herself.

After reading this post, will you make a visit to Watsons store and take a look at Smile Makers? Or will you even purchase one for yourself or for your significant other?
Since I'm already a married woman, I'd became rather opened to talk about topics along this line as long the person/s I chat with are open about it too. I will put both hands up if a friend were to introduce me a new personal massager or sex toy but it has got to be as 'clean' as Smile Makers, not those from dark alleys or what not.. What's most important for me, is safety and Smile Makers had assured me that their products are entirely safe to use.
In fact after learning more about vibrators, I think of these little massagers as an additional 'aid' to a better sex life (with my man of cos! ^,^) than to just think that it's solely ONLY for me to use but of cos it could too. I believe for some men, they would be happy to join in the fun while their partner is enjoying themselves. Agree? ^_^

Where to buy?
Smile Makers will be available exclusively at all Watsons outlets islandwide.
