Product Review: Neogence Pore Solution Series

As promised in my previous Neogence Pore Solution Series launch post, here is my review for the 2 products: Neogence Extreme Pore-Reducing Serum and Neogence Extremely Off-Heads Serum.
I strongly recommend you to read my previous post first to know more about Neogence Pore Solution before reading my review. ^_^

Neogence Pore Solution Packaging

The box packaging is simple and has lots of details printed on it. If you know how to read Chinese, you can refer to them as well. Actually, I had read & verified that all Chinese wordings have been translated into English, so there is no worry for lack of information or details in the English part.

Interesting fact... Printed with Soy Ink. It is a eco-friendly printing method.
At the bottom of the box printed the following:
- Reduce CO2
- Eco-Package Design
- Non-Animal Experiment
- Recyclable
- Printed with Soy Ink

Neogence Extremely Off-Heads Serum

The glass bottle is pretty small and slim, I need to be careful of not knocking it over. The dropper picks up the serum easily.

Swatch
The serum appears to be slightly yellowish (turns colourless after spreading it out) and I find that 1 drop is enough for 1 cheek.
Just look at how much I can spread it out on the back of my palm using only 1 drop of serum.
It looks a little bit glossy on my hand after its been absorbed.

Face Swatch
Not really a face swatch, more like just Nose swatch. hahax~
Note: This is NOT a before & after pic.

Neogence Extremely Off-Heads Serum Review
Note: I use Off-Heads Serum BEFORE the Pore Reducing Serum, as common sense tells me that I should dissolve and remove the black & white heads FIRST, before closing up the pores.
However, there is no specific rules to which should be used first so it is fine to use it the other way round too.

- the serum has a sweet bubble-gum + a little alcohol scent
- I use only 3 drops for my whole face, concentrating at areas that I often have black/white heads (forehead, nose, cheeks and jawlines... uhhh basically it seems like its whole face alright ^_^")
- I use it twice everyday (day & night), after 3 weeks I start to use it only in the day
- the serum is like liquid-gel type, more of a liquid in the beginning, then turns a bit gel-ish after awhile
- the serum spreads out easily
- after spreading out the serum on my face, I use my index fingers to massage areas that have prominent black/white heads to try to dissolve them
- the serum when absorbed to skin then became sticky gum-like texture
- I continue to massage until the serum is fully absorbed (patting the face doesn't help in absorption as both skin and palm feels rather sticky)
- skin feels supple and pretty moisturised
- skin looks glossy after using the serum
- doesn't irritate my skin
- doesn't dry out the skin, pimples/inflammations or healing wounds
- I see significant results especially at my nose and cheek areas after using it for about 3 weeks
- the black & white heads became smaller & lesser
- the black & white heads didn't grew as much as last time
- pimples & inflammations sometimes will still pop up (due to lack of sleep, diet, dirt etc)
- it helps in purifying and removing the white head and pus from the pimples
- serum has mild type of AHA (Glycacid & Mandelic Acid) which helps in softening corns of skin, dissolves and removes dead cells
- it soothes the inflammation only a little bit
- I find it best to use only on black & white heads and visibly enlarged pores

Neogence Extreme Pore-Reducing Serum

The glass bottle is larger than the Extremely Off-Heads Serum since this is a 30ml bottle. I have difficulty tightening the cap, as it became loose again after I applied quite a bit of force to screw it tight. I think it is the rubber underneath the cap that is making it so. The trick to tighten it is to just screw it on lightly and the cap will stay at the position.
The dropper is shape differently from the Off-Heads Serum, it has a smaller outlet.

Swatch
The serum look almost like the Off-Heads Serum, yellow tinted liquid. In the pic shows about 2 drops of serum. It doesn't appear that glossy after absorbed, in compare to the Off-Heads Serum.

Neogence Extreme Pore-Reducing Serum Review
Note: I use Off-Heads Serum BEFORE the Pore Reducing Serum, as common sense tells me that I should dissolve and remove the black & white heads FIRST, before closing up the pores.
However, there is no specific rules to which one should be used first so it is fine to use it the other way round.

- has a sweet bubble-gum + a little alcohol scent (similar scent as Off-Heads Serum)
- water-like liquid consistency
- feels a tiny bit sticky on the fingers after swatching the serum onto skin
- I use 1 full pump of serum from the dropper for face and neck
- I use it twice everyday (day & night), after 3 weeks I start to use it only in the day
- the serum spreads out easily
- after spreading out the serum on my face, I use all of my fingers to massage the serum onto my face & neck (sometimes by patting) until the serum is fully absorbed
- the serum when used alone doesn't feel sticky on the skin, but if used after Off-Heads Serum, will have a sticky after-feel
- skin feels smooth, supple and pretty moisturised
- skin looks a little bit glossy after using the serum
- doesn't irritate my skin
- doesn't dry out the skin, pimples/inflammations or healing wounds
- it astringents my pores, making it visibly smaller mostly at cheeks area and at the sides of the nose
- not much difference for the enlarged pores at the center of my nose where its usually the largest & most visible
- the pores either tightened or maintained the same
- the skin feels smoother after using it for a month
- no firming or tightening feeling
- oil spots almost 99% stopped growing on my jawlines and neck areas (ing this!)
- I find that it could clean out oily and infected problems of the skin, and it helps in controlling germs & bacteria from attacking the skin & pores thus its good for skin like mine (not acne skin but problematic skin that often have oil spots or soft white heads with inflammation) and for acne skin

Neogence Pore Solution Overall Review
I had been using both the Extremely Off-Heads Serum and Extreme Pore Reducing Serum together twice daily and saw results within 3 weeks. Then I reduced the usage to once per day.
The results doesn't differ much even after the reduced usage.
As I used the 2 products together so it's pretty hard for me to differentiate which product benefits me in what way, so I guess you can take all the points I mentioned above as an overall review for both of the products too. ^_^
- sebum production is reduced at cheeks area the most
- nose and forehead produce slightly lesser sebum compare to before
- since I only use Pore-Reducing Serum on my neck, so I assume this is the product that has eliminate the oil spots problem that I previously had (usually all over my neck and jawlines). This serum contains SEBARYL, an excellent anti-seborrheic effect that significant decreases the amount of sebaceous spots over continuous used for 28 days.
- the black and white heads are pretty obvious and huge before but now it all looks so small now
- the pores around nose, cheek areas also appear slightly smaller and has lesser white & black heads
- face & neck feels smooth and moisturised
I feel its still best to use both products together. As a whole, they helped make my pores less congested and my skin smoother.
