Product Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Eye Cream

Hey all, today I'll be reviewing Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Moisturizing Eye Cream.

I had been using this religiously for about 2 months now. In this post, I'll talk about my eye care regimen plus how I feel after using the Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Eye Cream.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Eye Cream Packaging

The packaging has most of the information printed in English at the back including the ingredients list.

ONE DROP UNLOCKS YOUNGER LOOKING EYES
A Combination of 3 Types of Hyaluronic Acid for 3X the Hydration Power

With consumers pleased about the performance of Hada Labo’s hydrating range (100% of Singapore women agree on its instant hydration power*), the brand now introduces a new cream dedicated for the skin around the eyes. This area has thinner skin, and often shows the first signs of aging.

To give younger looking eyes, Hada Labo eye cream contains:
1. 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid (Super, Nano, Normal) for thorough and deep moisturization;
2. ACTIFLOW ingredient increases blood circulation, lightens dark circles and puffiness;
3. Jojoba Oil smoothens fine lines around eye area

Just like all Hada Labo products, this eye cream is SIMPLE: pH balanced with no animal derivatives, fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol nor colorant. It is gentle enough even for sensitive skin.
This eye cream is to be used twice daily after applying the Hada Labo lotion by dabbing a small  amount under and around the eye area using the fingertips.
Regular application of the eye cream will improve the skin texture, wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Eye Cream
The bottle is simple, clean and rather cute ^_^
At the back printed wordings in Chinese. What it wrote here are already printed on the back of the packaging in English.

You have heard of Hyaluronic Acid, Nano Hyaluronic Acid and now they have Super Hyaluronic Acid! ^_^
The bottle cap is easy to open and the product is dispensed easily just by pumping it out. Its also easy to cap back after use, it secures with a 'click'.

Swatch
Note: The product on my hand is 1 full pump and it is for swatch demonstration only. Do not pump this much during application, 1/3 pump will work just nice for both under eyes.
The product is white, texture is unlike the real cream. It has more of a liquid consistency texture than of a cream and has a tiny bit of gel texture too.

Eye Swatch & Directions
Excuse my very messy brow & wrinkly eye... ^_^"
Note: The picture below is taken recently after using the eye cream for 2 months. I didn't take a before picture, so this is NOT a before after comparison pic.

Here I have... several eye problems that I always wanted to get rid of...
I usually apply eye cream along the dotted line which I drew in the pic below. It is actually along the the eye socket bone. (Skip it if you prefer not to apply eye cream above eyes, just apply till the brow ends) It's said that the eye cream after absorbed will be able to spread and travel 1 cm outwards within the skin from where you had applied it. So apply eye cream slightly further away from the eyes and also it won't get into the eyes and irritate them.
After which, continue to use ring finger to lightly blend out the cream from inner corner to outer corner of the eye. Then lightly dab to let it absorb.
At times, I do apply eye essence/serum under my eyes before applying eye cream. It's my personal preference for using 2 eye products because sometimes the under eyes feel really dry and deep wrinkles showed up. I feel by using an eye essence/serum together with an eye cream has slightly better effect.

The crepey skin looks less obvious after applied the eye cream. ^_^

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Eye Cream Review
- no fragrance
- feels very light weight
- non-greasy
- doesn't irritate skin around my eyes
- doesn't cause milia seeds
- feels smooth & moisturized after absorbed into skin
- skin doesn't feel heavy or thick after application
- skin surface looks a little glossy
- smooth out fine lines under my eyes, as for deeper fine lines (wrinkles) they stayed the same
- dark circles didn't lighten at the area immediate under my eyes, but the darkened skin at the eye socket bone area have diminished
- crepey skin under the eyes appears less visible only when the eye cream is being used
- when I'm in makeup, fine lines looks slightly less visible but crepey skin still appear obvious
- need to apply double amount at times to stop skin look crepey
- no difference for puffiness (under eyes look puffy only when I smile or squint my eyes)
- hydrating power is good however it doesn't lift up skin or make it firm, hence no difference too for my hooded lids
- can also be used as a quick 1 minute eye mask, just by applying 1 full pump of product on both under eyes, leave it for 1 minute then blend it out and dab to let it absorb. It feels super moisturised! (I do this when I feel my eyes are REALLY tired and dry)

I feel that Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Eye Cream is best for younger skin who have yet to show first signs of aging or people who JUST had a few fine lines growing out under the eyes. I had my fine lines for quite a few years already, so this product helped in keeping my skin moisturized and preventing it from having more fine lines at the moment. I only got the crepey skin last year (its my 2nd sign of aging! Boohoo~) and by moisturizing it doesn't seem to work, I need something more stronger.
If you are purely only looking for a simple moisturizing eye cream that doesn't give you milia seeds, Hada Labo SHA Moisturizing Eye Cream would be good enough for you. ^_^
